  • Description:
    A leading Payment Accuracy Provider in the Healthcare (managed-care) industry is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager (SAM)  to join its Account Management Team. The SAM is responsible for servicing  Five-to-Fifteen (5-15) accounts, within several business verticals, to ensure maximized revenue is achieved, while also seeing that  high levels of client satisfaction are maintained. 

    Client companies are primarily TPAs.

    The position, which may include as much as 30% travel, is a remote-based one, that will cover accounts located throughout the US. The candidate can live anywhere within the continental US, providing there is easy access to a major airport. However, there is a strong preference for the SAM to be living in the Eastern or Central US region.

    Some of the Key Responsibilities include:
    • Develop and maintain Client Account Plans designed to foster retention and drive growth; update at least quarterly
    • Analyze client revenue on a monthly basis.  Review monthly volume at product level to manage any mitigation of changes in volume
    • Analyze performance results on a monthly basis to determine/confirm trends, opportunities, competitive landscape and other variables
    • Create and present performance information to clients
    • Identify upsell opportunities through new product and services to assigned book of business
    • Partner with Project Management and Business Support throughout the implementation process of newly assigned clients/existing clients adding additional products.
    •  Fulfill specific implementation tasks as assigned.
    • Participate as requested in RFP process
    • Partner with Account Management Associate on client administration and reporting needs
    • Participate in Sales and Marketing meetings as needed
    • Update Salesforce.com as required; provide consultation and assistance to team members as needed
     
    The position reports to the Director of Strategic Account Management and pays a base salary that ranges from $110,000 - $125,000 (depending on experience). An incentive plan, with bonus and commissions (for upselling additional products) is included.

    Total target income is expected to be in the $145,000 range. Expenses and benefits are also included.

  • Requirements:
    The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor’s Degree,  and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in an Account Management position, in the Healthcare Insurance marketplace with a majority of that experience either working for a Third Party Administrator (TPA), or, working for a Healthcare Payment Integrity organization that provides support to the TPA marketplace..

    The position calls for the SAM to be both conceptual AND tactical in abilities.

    Excellent presentation and communications’ skills are key, as external and internal stakeholders and vendors will be involved in the processes.
