  • Description:
    One of the US’s Leading Players in the Group Health Benefits space is seeking a Director, Call Center who has experience in Pharmacy Operations.
      
    As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing a call center for Pharmacy Prior Authorization. You will lead Managers, Customer Service Reps, and Pharmacy Technicians.
     
     Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
     
    • Manages the Prior Authorization call center team in one or more facilities within a 7 days/week pharmacy business unit, responsible for planning, funding, scheduling, execution, and delivery of work performed by the team.
     
    • As a key member of the Pharmacy Prior Authorization team you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing and training of associates to deliver high quality, high compliance, and high Provider/Member satisfaction. 
     
    • Additionally, developing short/long-term Operations objectives and while continuously monitoring and coaching and procedures to a team of managers to ensure these are met by staff
    •      
    • Your leadership and direction will be used to encourage your staff in their development and training.
     
    • Use your Prior Authorization and Customer Care knowledge to stay abreast of state/federal regulations.
     
    • Manage your annual operating budget within financial objectives and in a manner which ensures that service and goals are met. 
    The position is based in the Norfolk, VA area. Relocation assistance is available.
    The position will require occasional travel.
    The compensation plan includes a competitive salary and annual bonus. Benefits are also included.

  • Requirements:
    The ideal candidate for this position has at least five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience with a Health Plan/Payer (Pharmacy Benefits Manager –PBM preferred) in Operations, with prior involvement in call center operations.


    A Bachelor's Degree is required. However, seven (7) years leadership experience or any combination of education and experience would provide an equivalent background.


    Exemplary history of Leadership and Team-Building is crucial to immediate (and career-advancement) success.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interface with and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and stakeholders.
     
    Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills. 
     
    Prior Authorization experience is highly sought.
