  • Description:
    Rapidly Growing Player in the Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) marketplace seeks Manager, RFP Writer & Coordinator to manage, direct and execute RFP proposal development and submission for new business opportunities.  
    The clients involved include Self-funded Employer Groups (public-sector/government and private-sector), Labor & Union (Health/Welfare Funds), and Health Plans ranging in size from 1,000 – 50,000+ lives.

    Compensation plan includes a competitive salary, bonus,  equity, and benefits

    This position will be ideally filled “in-house” in the Company’s corporate office in NYC.  However, for the most-compelling candidate, who does not reside in the NYC Metro area, this role could be worked via a “virtual (home) office”, and therefore, is open to candidates who live in any major metropolitan area.

    Some of the expected job functions include:
    Coordinate with sales and manage project plan for all incoming and outstanding RFP opportunities
    Review RFP documents and requirements; manage allocation of internal resources to support complete response
    Coordinate with underwriting and other business functions to submit timely and complete RFP responses
    Manage database of RFP questions and responses
    Collaborate with marketing and graphic design to maintain complete and current materials required to deliver competitive RFP responses
    Collaborate with Executive Leadership and other business functions (sales, marketing, account management) to design, refine, and maintain competitive value proposition
    Develop and scale SOPs to support RFP response development and submission

  • Requirements:
    The ideal candidate for this position has at least five (5) years of documented success in the Benefits Industry.
     
    Key Qualities:
     
    • Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree, with record of strong academic performance in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications
    • 5+ years of proven experience in proposal writing, project management, or benefits consulting
    • Passion for learning, including intricacies of pharmacy benefits products and services
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including technical copy editing
    • Ability to write in plain language
    • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and best practices
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other editing software
    • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, driving high performance, meeting deadlines, and executing on deliverables
    • Ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously and balance a range of key internal and external stakeholders
    • Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to shift priorities easily
    • Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product
