  Description:
  Rapidly Growing Player in the Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) marketplace seeks a Senior Underwriter  to direct and execute day-to-day pricing and underwriting for new business opportunities.
   
  The clients involved include Employer Groups (public-sector/government and private-sector), Labor & Union (Health/Welfare Funds), and Health Plans ranging in size from 1,000 – 50,000+ lives.
   
  The compensation plan includes a competitive salary, plus benefits, and equity.
  This position will be ideally filled “in-house” in the Company’s corporate office in the NYC Metro area; however, this role can also be filled remotely.
  Some of the expected job functions include:
  • Coordinate with sales, RFP response, and other business functions to submit timely and complete RFP responses
  • Collaborate with Executive Team and other business functions (sales, marketing, account management) to design, refine, and maintain internal underwriting, financial modeling, and financial reporting SOPs
  • Support client contracting, including validation that contract terms align proposal underwriting parameters
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to account management and finance departments
  • Support continued development and maintenance of underwriting and financial reporting system infrastructure
  • Continuously monitor plan performance against underwriting to identify risks and optimize financial modeling
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to communicate and support ongoing financial analytics and reporting needs
  • Support analysis and development of pricing models for new products
  • Support general business needs, as required
• 
  Requirements:
   
  Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree, with record of strong academic performance in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Economics, (or equivalent professional experience)
   
  PBM/Pharmacy experience required
   
  5-7 years of proven experience in data & analytics, benefits consulting, financial consulting, etc.
   
  Experience performing complex analyses on large sets of data
   
  Knowledge of data management, statistics, modeling
   
  Experience working with structured and unstructured data
   
  Proficient in SQL, Excel, and other data visualization tools (Python and R)
   
  Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, driving high performance, meeting deadlines, and executing on deliverables
   
  Ability to balance multiple complex projects simultaneously
   
  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
   
  Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to shift priorities easily
   
  Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product
